ICE: ERP Engineering Recognition

This is the page to upload the Recognition of Engineering Council registration application for membership of the ICE.

ICE updated the guidance and requirements for Recognition of Engineering Council registration applications on 03 May 2024. ICE trusts that the new requirements will be welcomed by applicants, but will accept applications prepared according to the previous guidance until 16 August 2024. Please contact [email protected] or your local membership recruitment team (www.ice.org.uk/nearyou) if you have any queries.

Please ensure that you've confirmed your eligibility and have read our webpage on Recognition of Engineering Council registration before submitting this application.

The following should be submitted as one PDF document together no larger than 10Mb.

1000-word experience statement

While we recognise you are professionally qualified with your home institution, ICE carries out a discipline check on all recognition candidates to confirm they operate in civil / infrastructure engineering and that they demonstrate the attributes expected of a professionally qualified engineer or engineering technician with ICE. This must be countersigned by your lead sponsor.

This will be used for reference, to put your 1000-word experience statement in context (no more than four pages).

Sponsor's Statement of support

Please provide the details of your sponsors. At least one must be a current member of ICE. All sponsors must be registered at the equivalent grade or above to that for which you are applying. You will find details of who can act as your sponsors in the sponsor statement of support form. You should ask each of them to complete a sponsor form and return it to [email protected]

CPD records

Please submit an up-to-date copy of your CPD records. We are happy to receive them in the format specified by your home institution. If your home institution does not require CPD, please submit a professional development record (PDR) for the past year and a 12-month development action plan (DAP). Please refer to our CPD guidance, which includes templates for your DAP and PDR.

A copy of your academic qualifications

Please provide copies of your academic qualifications. We will cross check that information with your home institution, along with your membership / registration details, and may ask for clarification or further information if required.
